Mike Serrao

General Manager and Owner

With more than a dozen years experience in the construction and home development industry in Calgary, Mike has seen – and done – almost everything on a worksite. And he has as much experience offsite as well: project planning, scheduling, and managing all the moving pieces and people of a new build or renovation.

Even when creating the initial plans, Mike can see the completed project in his head; it’s just a matter of steps to reach it. But it’s the creativity involved with each of those steps that Mike enjoys the most. And by the time a project is actually complete, he’s so invested in it that he always finds it hard to turn over the keys.

Kim Ruff

Operations Manager

Kim makes things happen for Malbec Homes. As the Operations Manager, Kim manages all the requests for pricing, budget estimates for customer proposals, and tender documents for construction. With Kim’s substantial network of trade contacts, she knows how to get the most competitive prices and cost savings for Malbec clients.

Kim joined Malbec with two decades of experience in the housing industry, having worked as both a contract estimator and an estimating manager.

Luke Boyer

Construction Site Manager

Luke brings a variety of skills and knowledge to the Malbec team. Finishing his final year of carpentry apprenticeship through SAIT, Luke has also spent the past five years as a site assistant and supervisor on large-scale renovation projects.

With a preference for building homes that give owners exactly what they want, Luke loves that each custom home is unique and requires him to use his creativity and skill to produce every detail.

Lindsay Braun

Drafting Designer

Lindsay works with Malbec Homes as a Drafting Designer. After earning a diploma in Architectural Technologies from SAIT, Lindsay honed her skills through a 10-year tenure at Beattie Homes. Having started out as a junior drafts-person, Lindsay worked her way up to drafting manager and then production manager.
